Low-income and historically disadvantaged communities throughout California face barriers to opportunities that could break cycles of poverty. This request will support equitable investment and financing that will help lift communities out of poverty by supporting CDFI investments to build affordable housing, support small businesses, invest in and expand access to quality childcare and healthcare.

Assemblymember González, in partnership with the Miguel Contreras Foundation and The LA Local, hosted his 1st Annual Pathways to Entertainment event, hosted by Los Angeles City College. The "Pathways to Entertainment" Fair broughttogether corporations, organizations, industry professionals, and labor groups from various Los Angeles–based entertainment sectors in one centralized location. The goal of the event was to increase awareness and exposure for youth across the district to the wide range of workforce/internship opportunities within the entertainment field.

Assemblymember González celebrates lowrider heritage in the State of California with AB 2541.

AB 1896 Disqualifies individuals who engaged in immigration enforcement activity between January 20, 2025, and January 20, 2029 from holding state, county, or local public employment in California, with exceptions for allowed conduct already permissible under SB 54, California's law protecting community trust.

Assemblymember González joined Equality CA's LGBTQ+ press conference to share more about AB 1876: Fair Care for All Act, making it illegal for health insurance plans in California to deny coverage or benefits to someone based on race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.
